AGGIE CATHOLIC CLASS GIFT - LEAVE A LEGACY
Aggies pride themselves on tradition. Honor, loyalty and service to others ... these are just some of the traditions that Aggies refine at Texas A&M University and carry throughout their lives. No place in Aggieland will you find these traditions more alive than at St. Mary’s Catholic Center. It is these traditions, plus devotion, faith and love that bind Aggie Catholics together today and throughout the rich history of St. Mary’s. When you see college students today living their faith with such passion and devotion, you know that you have found something special. Many students come to Texas A&M looking for something. For the 16,000+ Catholic students, they do not have to look any further than the always recognizable steeple across the street. At St. Mary’s, they not only find a home-away-from-home but a family-away-from-family.
Since 2005, the Seniors from St. Mary’s Catholic Center have decided that they are not done serving. Some have spent three, four even five years as part of the Aggie Catholic family, but that is not enough for them. They have wanted to do more. They wanted to keep the faith found at St. Mary's growing. They wanted to leave a legacy. The Class Gift Program has allowed them to do just that. These young graduates have come together to create a legacy. These Class Gifts do not just leave a permanent fund to provide resources for future Aggie Catholics. The Class Gifts do not just leave a perpetual stream of revenue to keep Catholic campus ministry alive and strong. The Class Gifts provide hope. Every member of their Class Gift knows that while they are leaving Aggieland, a part of them will remain to sustain the faith and devotion that is so evident at St. Mary’s. Their financial support will always be available to keep the ministry thriving and growing. In essence, they are sponsoring an Aggie Catholic every year - forever. And that is a good feeling.
Today, Old Ags are taking up the example of the recent graduates. Former Students all around the world are partnering with their classmates to create class gifts from each decade. The Classes of the 1940's Fund has been established and is growing. Classmates from the 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's are creating their legacy at St. Mary's.
If you are a Former Student interested in supporting Catholic campus ministry in perpetuity, this is your opportunity. Aggie Catholics need your support. Your class needs your support. The future of Catholic campus ministry at Texas A&M needs your support. Please consider being a part of your Class Gift.
"If I could find a way to forever serve those that come after me...that would be a legacy worth leaving."
Come together. Leave a Legacy.
